Wow. I didn't think she could beat older, male horses, prepared specifically for the arc, at the end of a long season for her, but she did! And didn't she do well! When she drifted to 9/4 I was tempted to back her but didn't. My selections ran well in 3rd and 5th. Not bad but a losing day nevertheless. It would be great to see her over here next year but I will be surprised if she travels accross.
I do have to agree with a lot of the critics of BBC TV though. I could not understand half of what the french jockey was saying and wished I couldn't understand what the English ex-jockey was saying! But I did think Clare Balding did a better job of holding it all together.
